The World Tree fountain pen is born from the aspiration to be connected and peaceful like the World Tree in many mythologies.

The main materials of the World Tree fountain pen have been carefully selected from natural precious woods from all over the world such as Ebony, Verawood, and Sandalwood.

The Story of Teak Wood

For centures, teak wood - which is native to the forests and jungles of Southeast and South Asia - have been desired all around the world for its alluring color, sturdiness, and perhaps most importantly, exotic qualities. Unlike the majority of tree species in North America and Europe, teak wood is infused with natural oils that make it far more resistant to pests, polluted liquid, and wear-and-tear.   

Like its wooden counterparts in the World Tree collection, the World Tree - Teak Wood fountain pens are each handcrafted and polished, which means that no single pen is exactly the same. However, as they are all made from teak wood, they have dark striations spread vertically across each pen, which is one of the most identifiable aspects of genuine teak wood. The main reason Teak Wood is such a desirable material for wood craftsmen around the world is that its natural properties make it so that the wood will gradually darken over time and with continued usage.

Sterling Silver 925 Clip

The World Tree fountain pen is compatible with a 925 Sterling Silver clip. When ordering this fountain pen you can choose the clip as an optional accessory.

The clip is made from high-quality sterling silver in our workshop in Japan. However, our 925 silver clip is finished with a special technique of anodizing.

Our hometown Oita has been known as the largest Onsen (hot springs) town in Japan. Using the natural hot steam from those hot springs, we created a matte version for the clip of the World Tree fountain pen.

This clip is detachable so you can attach or detach it as you like.
