TESTIMONIALS
Dream Pen

A true Ebonite fountain pen with true values of Japanese traditional arts.

With a great fountain pen, you can write many beautiful things and amazing ideas. And from there, many good things are believed to come.

We hope that with our Dream Pen, many dreams will be written about and become true.

True Ebonite

Ebonite is a great material made from natural rubber with a durable, warm, and luxurious feel for handwriting. Ebonite was originally used to make fountain pens in the early 20th century. However, due to its complexity in production, it was later abandoned by most manufacturers in favor of various plastics, which were easier to work with.

Today, as a homage to traditional pen manufacturing, we are honored to restore Ebonite as the material of all of our pens.

The True Ebonite fountain pen is a combination of vintage materials and minimal design. Our Ebonite is crafted into your fountain pen with the highest precision. Hold your True Ebonite fountain pen and feel the best quality in material for writing instruments.

First but not my last Wancher.

"The marbling on the ebonite that I received was even more beautiful than the one picutured, I think. It’s a lovely pen; The keiryu Kodachi nib glides beautifully and was very much what I hoped it would be. This is a pen that I bought for everyday use and it’s a real pleasure."

An impressive pen for an affordable price

"This is my second Wancher - my first is a beautiful Hirota urushi with the same overall shape as this one, but a steel nib. I went for the 18kt nib this time and I like the additional bounce of it compared to the steel, though the steel one performs really well too. The Green Swirl ebonite is a really pretty pattern. I went for a free silver rollstop (it was a Fountain Pen Day purchase) but if I bought another one I’d probably just leave it ‘clean’. The rollstop isn’t 100% guaranteed to stop the pen from rolling (it’s quite shallow) and I think the pen probably looks better without it. Anyway, I remain a happy Wancher customer and I doubt this will be the last one I buy."

A Dream of a Pen

"I see why you call it a Dream Pen. It looks and writes like a dream. It feels heavenly as I hold it in my hand, as if it was custom made for me. Thank you."

A Wonderful Pen for Any Collection

"The pen is the perfect size for my hand, the ebonite material is such a pleasure to hold, the nib writes spectacularly! The color is wonderful, subtle variations, and the cigar shaped body is so classy. I am proud to have this pen in my collection, now to work on my handwriting so it can match how wonderful this pen truly is!"

The swirl pattern is mild

"The swirl pattern is mild and not the same as the picrure on your webpage so it is misleading. The tax at destination was high because you can’t declare it lower or state at a discount so that the final price is below USD100.00. What do you mean to declare the full price for tax and also state it as “Gift” there is no meaning. Tax is exempted for value below USD100. What law require you to declare full value. Other countries like US, India, HK and Taiwan can declare lower why not Japan???"
