The Sekai fountain pen is born from the aspiration to be connected and peaceful like the World Tree in many mythologies. This collection embraces the idea of connecting the world with the arts.

The base materials of the Sekai fountain pen have been carefully selected from natural precious woods from all over the world such as Ebony and Sandalwood. It is then crafted with traditional arts such as Urushi, Maki-e or decorated with high-quality Japanese Sterling Silver clip.

Modern Maki-e Art

Sekai Rising Sun is our next collection featuring the Kindai Maki-e (Modern Maki-e) art, which was pioneered by craftsmen in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture - known for its Yamanaka Lacquer Ware. Just like our Dream Pen edition, the designs in the Sekai Rising Sun collection are inspired by the three most common elements found in Japanese traditional painting: Earth, Water, and Sky.

Concept

For a long time, nature has always been a generous source of inspiration for us, and the Sekai Rising Sun collection is born to continue such passion. Embracing the spirit of Tsukimi - a Japanese tradition, our artisans want to create fountain pens that express the great appreciation towards the beauty of mother nature, especially in the common creatures found in daily life.
