Note: **Please refrain from using glitter ink with the PoChaCo pen as it may hinder the ink flow to the nib.
The PoChaCo
Carefully carved and polished from acrylic resin, the PoChaCo is the next stage in the evolution of the PuChiCo Fountain Pen. Just as a planted acorn will grow to be a sapling, the PoChaCo is slightly larger while maintaining an adorably miniature size.
The PoChaCo is the manifestation of our desire for cute, pocket-sized fountain pens and the functionality and practicality of a larger fountain pen.
Whether you want a bright conversation starter for a pen, or you simply want to have a smooth writing experience for your daily journaling, we believe that the PoChaCo can fulfill both purposes!
When we were envisioning the mascot that would best represent the PoChaCo, we immediately thought of a cute, chubby penguin. There is a delightful novelty in the act of twisting the cap off and looking upon the sizable nib that looks almost too large for the rest of the pen that you can’t help but smile.
Imagine this pen as the key to unlock the words within that are waiting to be put to paper.
The Filling System
1. Eye-dropper Filling System
Like its smaller brother, the PuChiCo, the eye-dropper type allows you to directly fill the body with ink, so you can use the included eye-dropper to fill the body with any ink you want.
It can hold a large amount of ink, and the crystal clear body allows you to enjoy the color of the ink as it shifts while you write.
However, if you prefer a cartridge system instead of the eye-dropper filling system, then rest assured, we have an alternative for you!
※Cartridges cannot be used with the eye-dropper type.
2. Cartridge Type
We have prepared a cartridge type with the goal of making the PoChaCo even more convenient.
It is a common European standard specification that is easy to obtain anywhere.
We recommend choosing a cartridge type PoChaCo Fountain Pen if you are planning on taking it on frequent travels.
※With the cartridge type, you cannot put ink directly into the shaft like with the eye-dropper type.
Unique Inspiration
It may surprise you to know that the original source of inspiration for these colorful pens was post-war Japan, also known as the Golden Age of Japanese Fountain Pens.
As the economy slowly recovered, businessmen carried their fountain pens in their pockets or briefcases, while women kept them in their handbags or in their own pockets. Thus, these pens were made in small factories all across Japan with the intention of being easy to carry and functional.
The PoChaCo - the newest release by our sub-brand 1xOnexWan - evokes the spirit of this by being altogether unique and functional, yet it is designed with a more modern sensibility that is sure to appeal to people from all walks of life.
Keep a PoChaCo with you, for it will surely help you experience the joy of writing for many years to come.
