Kunisaki Glass Pen 2023 Release

Loved by many customers, we strive to re-introduce the Kunisaki Glass Dip Pen which is inspired by the beauty of Kunisaki. It's been a piece of hard news to share from us that the previous Kunisaki Glass Pen artisan had stopped production due to personal reasons.

Nonetheless, we stick to our commitment to keeping alive the glass pen art. We decided to seek out different glass artisans to craft Kunisaki pens. We were pleasantly surprised to discover a skilled glass artisan in Hong Kong. The new 2023 Kunisaki Glass Dip pen though no longer made by Kunisaki glass artisans, but the art, design, technique, and inspiration remain preserved. How it was made?

Normally glass pen is made by attaching an already-produced glass nib to the glass body which is made from glass rod. However, our glass pen is originally made from a lump of glass then pulled and twisted to create the desired shape. This method is harder to make but stronger in quality and more flexible in size and presence.

Looking through the body of the glass pen, you will enjoy a look of nature which is created by adding gold powder while forming the glass.

The tipping point is carefully shaped one by one by repeating the process of forming and testing to make sure the final result is not only good-looking but also a well-performing nib.

Writing Experience

This glass dip pen has a tipping size between Fine and Medium nib size (European standard size). The nib writes smoothly on any kind of paper that is compatible with fountain pens and glass pens.
